A newly wedded couple: Aminu and Fa'iza have
reportedly taken the life of their 3 day old baby following a decision by the
said couple to avoid =embarrassment. The report which further adds that the
bride, took in from another man, states that the husband and wife agreed to
kill the baby and dig a shallow grave to bury it.
Unfortunately, the residents of the area, spotted the
heartless couple and reported the matter to the police.
The incident occurred at Rijiyar Lemo in Fagge Local
Government area of Kano and was made public by the area’ police commander,
Hisbah command, Ustaz Salisu Umar Rijiyar Lemo
The commander further stated that: “The couple, when
arrested at the command, could not conceal the motive behind the sinister
intention as they told the officials that they purposefully killed the newly
born baby to avoid any embarrassment”.
